• Must be able to work in Camp Springs, MD up to 2x per week.
• Bachelor’s degree + 8 years of experience maintaining and administering IT infrastructure.

• Lead the management and administration of enterprise‑scale systems, databases, and infrastructure components.
• Establish operational standards, maintenance schedules, and best practices to ensure high system availability and reliability.
• Provide technical direction to operations, engineering, and system administration teams.
• Monitor production environments to ensure maximum uptime, proactive issue detection, and rapid resolution of performance bottlenecks.
• Oversee system tuning, patching, upgrades, and capacity‑planning activities.
• Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging tools to support operational excellence.
• Manage and support cloud, on‑premises, and hybrid infrastructure environments.
• Oversee the administration of servers, databases, storage, networking, and related components.
• Ensure systems are configured for scalability, resilience, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to all security standards, compliance requirements, and data‑protection policies.
• Oversee vulnerability management, access controls, configuration baselines, and system hardening practices.
• Coordinate with security teams to address findings and prevent operational risks.
• Collaborate with development, architecture, and program leadership to support operational needs and planned enhancements.
• Maintain documentation for system configurations, operational procedures, and incident‑response activities.
• Provide clear communication and reporting on system health, risks, and improvement opportunities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field + 8 years of experience maintaining and administering IT infrastructure of similar size, scope, and complexity.
• Certification in one or more of AWS, Apache, Databricks, Oracle.
• Strong background in system administration, infrastructure operations, and enterprise monitoring.
• Experience modernizing or managing hybrid cloud environments.
• Expertise in automation, configuration management, and infrastructure‑as‑code tools.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and comfort operating in fast‑paced, complex environments.
