• Perform pre‑opening and ongoing back line, hot box, and buffet checks.
• Work on the line or buffet.
• Coordinate line or buffet preparation and production.
• Meet with Sous Chef daily to review special events and plan prep and production for the day.
• Perform opening and closing procedures ensuring clean, organized, and safe food handling areas and procedures.
• Coordinate and perform all pre‑shift prep, set‑up, restocking of cooler, and properly rotating food items.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

May be available in lieu of formal education and work experience requirements for enrolled members of the Yavapai‑Apache Nation.

• Work Experience:
  • General knowledge of preparations of various food items required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a cook in a professional food establishment.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Excellent communication (verbal) skills.
  • Ability to read, understand, and execute recipes correctly.
  • Highly organized and able to create and monitor work tasks with a group.

  Certifications:
  • Required to have or obtain food handlers and alcohol service certifications.
• Must be 18+ years old and be available for all shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and pass a drug test and background check for an AZ Gaming License.
• Must adhere to all Cliff Castle Casino Hotel policies and procedures.
• Must be committed to providing exceptional guest service through a welcoming, friendly, and professional environment. Aim to exceed guest expectations with attentive, personalized service and prompt responses and resolution.
