Caregiver Role at Rainbow AcresOur Caregivers play a vital role in delivering the highest quality of care, enhancing the quality of life for the Residents/Ranchers of Rainbow Acres. This is more than a job — it’s a mission to serve with compassion, purpose, and excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional care that supports the physical, emotional, and social well-being of each Resident/Rancher.
- Collaborate with the Health & Wellness team, Rainbow Acres Academy, and Vocational Development to:
- Set annual goals for each Rancher.
- Monitor and review progress toward those goals.
- Participate in the annual evaluation of each Rancher’s achievements.
- Empower Ranchers to achieve their highest potential.
- Create a home environment where Ranchers:
- Honor and respect one another.
- Respect caregivers, staff, and authority figures.
- Follow rules of good conduct.
- Take personal responsibility for their actions.
- Actively maintain a safe and clean living space.
- Protect Resident/Rancher rights.
- Ensure Ranchers receive a nutritious breakfast, attend lunch, and are served dinner as instructed by the commercial kitchen.
- Dispense medications as prescribed, maintain accurate records, monitor for side effects, and report appropriately.
- Maintain accurate documentation as required.
- Transport Ranchers to scheduled off-site appointments.
Additional Information:
This is a safety-sensitive position, requiring a high level of responsibility and awareness.
Qualifications- Must be 21 years of age or older and have completed or have the ability to complete a caregiver training program approved by the Arizona Board of Examiners for Nursing Care Institution Administrators and Assisted Living Facility Managers, resulting in certified caregiver status.
- Experience working with adults with disabilities is preferred.
- Ability to meet all clearance requirements, including:
- Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Background check
- Pre-employment physical
- Drug screening
- Reference check
- Verification of absence from the Arizona Adult Protective Services Registry
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Food handler’s card (or be willing to obtain one).
- CPR/First Aid certification (or be willing to obtain it).
- Demonstrate strong ethical standards and moral character, with sensitivity to the needs of our Residents/Ranchers.
- Evidence of a strong Christian commitment is desirable and aligns with the values of Rainbow Acres.
- Strong communication, documentation, and customer service skills.
- Ability to navigate the terrain of the ranch safely and effectively.
