Lead operational permitting and tenure administration for Mosaic’s forest lands, facilities, and strategic sites across Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Use strong organization and communication daily.
As Tenures & Permitting Planner, you coordinate federal and provincial leases, licences, permits, renewals, and compliance obligations. You will work with Legal Services, GIS, Timberlands Operations, operational teams, and permitting authorities. Responsibilities support water lots, facilities, log handling and storage sites, cutting permits, road permits, and PHARM submissions. Mosaic manages complementary land uses through sustainable forestry, renewable energy, watershed services, recreation, real estate, and carbon programs.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate applications, amendments, renewals, and related authorizations
- Coordinate surveys, assessments, and technical application information
- Address environmental, safety, and tenure requirements with operations
- Prepare cutting permits, road permits, and PHARM submissions
- Participate in regulatory, policy, and industry forums
- Forestry degree, Forest Technology Diploma, or equivalent
- Three or more years’ progressive BC forest-industry planning preferred
- Ability to coordinate priorities, schedules, and deadlines
- Strong communication with internal and external stakeholders
- RPF or RFT registration, or progress toward registration, is an asset
