Position: Clerk for Medical Imaging Services
Join the Vancouver Island Health Authority as a Clerk specializing in Medical Imaging Reception. This crucial role focuses on patient assistance, appointment management, and efficient clerical support.

In this position, you will collaborate with the Coordinator of Support Services to manage various clerical tasks effectively. You will handle outpatient requisitions, input patient data into the Radiology Information System (RIS), and support technical staff during imaging procedures. The ability to communicate clearly and manage tasks is essential to ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage booking and reception tasks for outpatient procedures

• Enter and update patient information in the RIS

• Check in patients for their medical appointments

• Assist with imaging results communication and handling

• Provide support to technical staff in patient care

Requirements:

• Minimum Grade 12 education with two years' experience

• Fast and accurate typing skills of 45 wpm

• Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures

• Strong organizational skills and physical capability

• Effective verbal and written communication abilities
