Healthy Trades Liaison

Position: Healthy Trades Liaison at North Island College
Enhance student wellness in trades at North Island College as the Healthy Trades Liaison. Drive targeted initiatives for mental health, physical wellbeing, and student success in technical programs.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Student Life & Housing, this role requires collaboration with faculty, community partners, and the Student Life team. Key responsibilities include delivering wellness programming and promoting injury prevention tailored for trades. Utilize excellent interpersonal skills to engage students and ensure a supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver presentations to boost wellness awareness

• Implement low-barrier wellness programs in trades classes

• Build partnerships with faculty and community organizations

• Coordinate physical wellness and injury prevention initiatives

• Support student leadership and engagement opportunities

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in health promotion or related field

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in health education

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Experience in trades or post-secondary education

• Ability to work flexible hours across campuses
