Position: Temporary Skills for Life Teacher
Join our team as a temporary Skills for Life Teacher, effective September 8, 2026. This role focuses on special education for students with diverse learning profiles while ensuring an inclusive and integrated classroom environment.

We are seeking a qualified candidate with a Diploma or Degree in Special Education and at least two years of classroom experience. Your expertise in modification strategies, IEP development, and trauma-informed practices will be vital. You will lead in creating a life skills curriculum tailored for secondary-aged children requiring support in the Skills for Life program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement effective life skills and academic programs

• Advocate for students with inclusive needs

• Collaborate on IEP development with stakeholders

• Utilize various assessment strategies for learning support

• Schedule and mentor staff involved in the program

Requirements:

• Degree in Special Education with relevant coursework

• 2+ years of classroom teaching experience

• Experience with AAC in educational settings

• Knowledge of Social/Emotional Learning principles

• Understanding of trauma-informed practices
