Biology Lab Instructor Fall

Position: Biology Lab Instructor for Fall 2026
North Island College invites applicants for a Biology Lab Instructor role for the 2026 Fall term at Campbell River Campus. Engage students in hands-on learning with Concepts in Biology I.

This role focuses on creating dynamic learning experiences tailored to diverse student groups. You will prepare learning materials, lead lab sessions, and assess student performance while upholding college standards. Building strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for guiding students effectively and maintaining their academic progress.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan engaging lab sessions and instructional materials

• Teach Concepts in Biology I and promote effective learning strategies

• Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback

• Maintain records and submit grades as required

• Participate in department activities and meetings

Requirements:

• M.Sc. in Biology or relevant Master’s degree

• Minimum of three years teaching experience in higher education

• Preferred BC Instructor Diploma or Teaching Certificate

• Demonstrated creativity in instructional methods

• Familiarity with technology in educational settings
