Culinary Program Assistant Role

Support youth in culinary arts as a Culinary Program Assistant at Carihi Secondary within School District 72. This position merges education with food preparation and youth engagement.

You will report to the School Administrator, providing assistance to the culinary teacher while ensuring students receive the proper guidance in food service tasks. This role highlights your ability to nurture relationships with students and facilitate a welcoming environment for culinary learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Aid in delivering food preparation instruction

• Supervise and support students in culinary activities

• Prepare kitchen equipment and maintain cleanliness

• Promote safe interactions among students in the kitchen

• Uphold confidentiality of student information

Requirements:

• Grade 12 diploma plus training in relevant child development

• 1+ years of experience working with children

• Culinary and baking arts experience

• BC Food Safe Level 1 certification required

• Strong organizational and communication skills
