The
Director of Finance is responsible for the financial health of the family office and strategic financial planning. This role provides financial leadership by improving and overseeing all accounting and treasury functions, managing budgets, as well as wealth and risk management.
Responsibilities include managing a team, as well as executing long-term financial plans, developing and tracking financial KPIs, and reporting. The Director of Finance will also interface with other internal departments and external advisors to manage philanthropy, wealth transfers, administrative functions, tax planning and investment planning to ensure the effective operation and growth of the Family Office.

By attentively listening, exercising discretion, and maintaining confidences, the Director of Finance will instill confidence over time, allowing them to become a trusted advisor to the principal and his family.
Your contributions to the team include:Act as an advisor for the Family Office by evaluating and assisting them with their financial plans and economic modelingOversee the finance function for multiple entitiesAnalyze cash flow, cost controls, and expensesProvide leadership and oversee the day-to-day accounting functionCollect and analyze cost data versus budget for ascertaining financial performance and risk assessment.Oversee financial management of foreign operationsCreate and enforce business rules for all financial reportingFacilitate and oversee any auditing conducted by third partiesDevelop and implement short- and long-term financial plans and forecastsInvestigate variances in budgets, reporting, internal controls, and general accounting; deploy measures to resolve variancesProvide general advice to the Family on all business and financial mattersHire, train, mentor and supervise accounting staffProvide input for initiatives from The Family OfficeDecisive, confident and adaptableEnforcing laws, rules and regulationsCritical thinking and analysisMathematical reasoningWhat you need to be successful:10 plus years experience in a senior level finance or accounting positionBachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, business administration or related field (master’s degree preferred)Professional Accounting Designation (CPA)Financial analysis, budgeting and strategic planning experienceExtensive experience and knowledge of all aspects of corporate accounting, taxation and financial managementExperience overseeing or performing financial statement auditsPrevious experience working in a family office an assetProblem solving, decision making and judgmentHigh level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or factsProficiency with relevant software applications, including ERP systems, Quick Books and Microsoft Office 365Highly motivated, results-oriented individual with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multiple constituencies to accomplish objectivesAbility to maintain the highest level of confidentiality with special attention to sensitive information related to ownerships assets and financial positionsKnowledge of budget preparation and analysis techniquesThe perks:
