Bylaw Enforcement Officer

Join the City of Campbell River’s Bylaw Services Team as a full-time Bylaw Enforcement Officer. Use your expertise in enforcement and community relations to make a positive impact.

In this role, you'll report to the Bylaw Services Manager and perform essential administrative, inspection, and investigative duties.

You'll work with residents, businesses, community groups, and municipal departments to foster voluntary compliance and address concerns. The position relies heavily on sound judgment, professionalism, and strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform inspections and enforce bylaws effectively

• Coordinate investigations with various community stakeholders

• Maintain public relations and address community concerns

• Work independently while supporting a collaborative team

• Promote compliance through education and communication

Requirements:

• Minimum of three years in bylaw enforcement or regulatory experience

• Bylaw Compliance and Enforcement Training from a recognized institution

• Valid BC driver’s license with a clear abstract

• Conflict resolution training and Occupational First Aid Level 1

• Eligibility to be appointed under the BC Police Act
