Title: Health Coach

Salary: $91,172 - $107,261 - $123,351 per year (pay range explained below)

Contract: Permanent Full-Time

Hours: 8:30am-4:30pm

Location: Campbell River - located on the ancestral lands of the Lig ??
ildax ? Onsite – Travel across the Vancouver Island Region is required.

About

The Role

The Health Coach role provides opportunities to walk alongside families during their perinatal journeys – which is such a sacred time in the lives of the expecting/ new families. Working in collaboration with the Kwakwaka’wakw Maternal, Child and Family Health team, local partners in maternity care, our nations/ First Nations families and regional team is what strengthens services/ supports, provides wraparound care and aligns with our vision of creating excellence in maternity care for the North Island.

Our Health Coaches also play a role in ensuring our families have access to cultural supports from our Elders, knowledge keepers, healers, etc.; and, with that have an opportunity to enhance their own learning journeys.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have/be

Education
  • Bachelor of Social Work and registration with the British Columbia College of Social Workers or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Occupational Certification
  • BC Driver’s License- class 5
