Position: Casual Custodian IV - School District 72
Become a key player in keeping school facilities clean and safe with School District 72 as a Casual Custodian IV.

Your role will involve essential custodial work using powered cleaning equipment to maintain a healthy environment for students and staff.

In this position, working under the guidance of the Custodian II, you will oversee a variety of custodial tasks to maintain cleanliness within Campbell River and Quadra Island schools. Key responsibilities include ensuring safe disposal of bio-hazard materials and responding to facility emergencies. Prospective custodians need at least one year of experience, a Class 5 B.C. Driver’s License, and a commitment to workplace standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate powered cleaning equipment safely

• Dispose of bio-hazard materials according to protocols

• Collect waste and recycling throughout facilities

• Execute facility maintenance from written instructions

• Build strong relationships with students and staff

Requirements:

• Minimum one year custodial experience needed

• Valid B.C. Driver's License Class 5 required

• Knowledge of cleaning procedures and equipment

• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs

• WHMIS course completion is preferred
