Responsibilities:

Our Foresters must be able to coordinate, produce, and supervise the production of accurate professional deliverables with particular attention to quality, time, and cost parameters, both independently and in a team environment. You must possess effective mentorship and leadership skills, efficient coordination of resources, be reliable, personable, organized, logical, customer service oriented, and be an effective communicator. You are interested in tackling increasingly challenging projects and tasks, which may also include some business development.

Qualifications:

  • Registered with the Association of BC Forest Professionals as an RPF.
  • Experience working in BC's Forest industry.
  • Knowledge of Operational Forestry, including Appraisals, Cutting Permit Applications, Road Permit Applications, and Occupant Licenses to Cut.
  • Knowledge of forest legislation.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of silvicultural systems, surveys, and activities.
  • Ability to prepare and support the preparation of Site Plans, land use plans, and Forest Landscape plans
  • Interested in mentoring in the field and in the office year-round
  • Comfortable liaising with clients and being involved in business development
  • Experience managing budgets, schedules, and projects
  • Experience working with First Nations
  • Enthusiastic about the BC Forest Industry

ASSETS:

  • Advanced RPAS License an asset
  • Other Professional designations including PMP, RP Bio, P. AG
