Position: Youth Counsellor for Attendance Programs
Be a transformative Youth Counsellor with the John Howard Society of North Island, focusing on Full-Time Attendance Programs. Enhance the well-being and skills of youth through meaningful engagement.

This role offers a chance to work full-time in a supportive team environment. With a focus on high-risk youth, you will develop and implement programs that improve communication skills, conflict resolution, and self-advocacy. Engage in proactive case management to facilitate positive outcomes for each youth's journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish supportive relationships with youths in the program

• Collaborate on intervention planning with the case management team

• Provide programming addressing key youth needs

• Engage youth in community resource access opportunities

• Record findings and contribute to progress reporting

Requirements:

• Post-secondary degree in counselling or equivalent

• Two years of relevant experience working with youth

• Valid First Aid certification

• Driver’s license and access to transport

• Keen understanding of socio-economic issues affecting youth
