Community Inclusion Support Worker

Join the team as a Community Inclusion Support Worker in Campbell River, supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. Help enhance their access to meaningful daytime activities within the community.

As a Community Inclusion Support Worker, you will provide guidance in daily living and community engagement, offering essential support for individuals with developmental challenges.

Your role requires empathy, creativity, and strong interpersonal skills, as well as knowledge of the 'Spirit of Gentleness' principles. You'll contribute to a positive service philosophy aligned with Communitas' vision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist individuals in accessing community-based activities

• Provide behavioral support and guidance

• Foster relationships with families and caregivers

• Model appropriate behavior and expectations

• Utilize personal vehicle for client appointments

Requirements:

• Community Support Worker certificate or equivalent

• Previous experience in community support preferred

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Valid Class 5 BC driver's license required

• Emergency First Aid certificate with CPR necessary
