Join Usma Family and Child Services as a C6 Social Worker in Campbell River, BC. This full-time position requires travel and offers a chance to make a real difference in child safety.
The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council is hiring three experienced Social Workers to handle full C6 caseloads focused on First Nation families. You will engage with communities to address child safety needs, assess situations, and develop safety plans in collaboration with families and Nations. Knowledge of Nuu-chah-nulth governance and trauma-informed practices is crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
• Investigate children's safety and needs
• Consult on child abuse prevention and cultural preservation
• Evaluate situations using a trauma-informed approach
• Create safety plans in collaboration with families
Requirements:
• Degree in social work or related field
• Experience with First Nation family caseloads
• C6 Delegation required
• Understanding relevant legislation and processes
• Must have a valid driver's license and vehicle access
