As a Principal Power Electronics Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in bringing new technologies to market, optimizing hardware systems, and supporting clean energy transformation from concept through high‑volume manufacturing.
Responsibilities- Plan, manage, and execute the design, development, and integration of hardware components for high‑volume manufacturing.
- Develop proof‑of‑concept designs and prototypes for advanced power electronics hardware.
- Analyze manufacturing options to optimize system integration and meet performance objectives.
- Use scientific methodologies and circuit design techniques to create manufacturable, robust products.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure seamless product lifecycle from concept through mass production.
- Ensure adherence to industry best practices for safety, reliability, and efficiency in hardware design.
- BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering with 5‑15 years of relevant high‑power circuit design experience.
- Proven ability to take products from design phase to high‑volume manufacturing.
- Strong analytic expertise in analog circuit design.
- Significant hands‑on experience with design and implementation of DC/DC conversion circuits.
- Proficiency with circuit analysis tools such as PSpice and/or MATLAB.
- Experience in design for manufacturing and system‑level integration.
- Knowledge of DC/AC grid‑tied inverters.
- Experience in digital power circuit design and implementation.
- Familiarity with power supplies, PV inverters, electric vehicles, or charging station technologies.
- Previous experience in the solar or renewable energy sector.
