Veraxx Engineering Corporation, a By Light Company, is an engineering services company supplying modeling, simulation, and training solutions. Services include hardware, software, and system engineering, requirements assessments, system development, integration, testing, documentation, and customer support services. Veraxx has a high level of expertise in flight simulation hardware and software development, as well as computer architecture, tactical environments, interoperability (HLA/DIS), avionics systems, graphics and real‑time embedded systems.

Candidates will have the opportunity to work on a variety of flight simulators and develop/integrate software in areas such as avionics, tactical environments, interfaces to audio, visual, motion, and I/O systems, and Instructor Operator Stations (IOS). Software development is primarily done in Linux and Windows using C/C++, Ada, FORTRAN, C#.

Software Engineers at Veraxx are junior-level S/W developers typically responsible for the development of basic S/W applications in support of projects. Engineers take direction from lead S/W engineers to develop S/W throughout all phases of a project, including requirements analysis, design, development, and test. S/W Engineers are able to complete tasks such as developing an S/W interface to an external system or writing a software simulation of an aircraft system with support from a S/W lead.

• Support S/W development activities as tasked by S/W lead.
• Design S/W for components within a system such as S/W interfaces, components of larger S/W systems or models of aircraft components.
• Prepare S/W documentation and input for design reviews.
• Work in teams and take direction from S/W leads, completing tasks in a timely manner.
