OverviewWe are looking for a Utility Locator to service the Bay Area. The ideal candidate is a team player who can also work independently, is self-motivated and is an early bird that enjoys working 6 am – 3 pm with opportunities for overtime.

- Underground utility detection/location using Radio Frequency (passive and active) and Ground Penetrating Radar methods, including accurately interpreting utility readings.
- Accurately identify and mark utility location for excavation and mapping purposes.
- Read and interpret Utility plans.
- Coordinate with supervisor, engineering, survey staff, and utility agencies.
- Communicate with clients and contractors.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- OSHA 10 Certification and current CPR certification preferred.
- 2+ years of related utility locating experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel, AutoCAD, Adobe, Blue Beam, etc.
- Valid CA driver's license and satisfactory driving record
- Experience working in or with heavy traffic conditions.
- APWA uniform color code markings.
- GPR, including utility reading and scanning for reinforcement/utilities in concrete pads and walls.
- Knowledge of California Government Code Sec. 4216 and CGA Best Practices and Confined Space Entry (Title 8 of CCR Article 108 Sections 5156 and 5158 or ability).
- Willing to travel out of town and overnight if needed.
