Who we arePetcure Oncology, owned and operated by Thrive Pet Healthcare, manages the Radiation Oncology department inside Sage Veterinary Centers' location in Campbell, San Jose. We are looking for a practice manager to join our team and manage all aspects of Pet Cure's business operations at this location. Pet Cure Oncology San Jose is one of the busiest veterinary radiation oncology clinics in the world, treating upwards of 300 pets per year and generating a revenue of $4MM+.
The team consists of one board‑certified radiation oncologist (remote), one supervising veterinarian, one licensed radiation therapist, and 3‑4 veterinary technicians. Pet Cure Oncology's national network includes radiation and/or medical oncology services in 7 markets across the United States and is supported by a collaborative team of 14 board‑certified veterinary oncologists.

- Work collaboratively with the greater leadership team in steering and predicting the hospital’s future via planning and problem solving resulting for maximizing financial targets and profitability.
- Utilize standard tools, programs and processes to drive optimal staffing levels to meet maximum productivity and service level expectations.
- In partnership with the Regional Director of Operations (RDO), manage practice fiscal operations, including accounting, planning budgets, authorizing expenditures, and coordinate financial reporting to ensure hospital meets or exceeds annual revenue and EBITDA targets.
- Work collaboratively with the regional support team and the central business support departments to drive operational excellence in all business management lanes such as Finance, Accounting, Payroll, Legal, Supply Chain, Marketing, People Operations, and the broader Operations Teams.
- Oversees locations inventory control system to ensure appropriate stocks of supplies are available, conduct inventory audits and manage inventory to target budget and P&L.
- Maintain a facility that is visually appealing to clients and team members by organizing and/or contracting maintenance.
- Ensure the practice meets Thrive and OSHA safety standards and safety metrics.
- Audit usage of practice management software to ensure that client records meet the standards of care and service established by the practice management team.
- Engage in active learning by completing all required training courses and becoming Thrive Leader Certified as well as ensuring the team is 100% compliant on all assigned learning courses.
