Founded in 2009 by serial entrepreneur Amr Salahieh, Shifamed LLC is a privately held medical technology incubator focused on the development of novel medical products to address clinical needs in the rapidly evolving fields of cardiology and ophthalmology.

As the Director of System Software at Laza Medical, you will be the architect to design, build, test, and deploy system software for a revolutionary medical device. You will collaborate closely with embedded, control, and quality engineers to develop safe and fault‑tolerant motion models and plans, device integrations, data visualizations, and simulations.

• Architect and execute software framework for system.
• Lead, mentor and grow the software team for system software, imaging reconstruction, UI/IX, firmware, and cloud connectivity.
• Implement CI/CD pipeline for software deployment.
• Develop budget and project plans.
• Create requirements and formal test protocols for new features.
• Oversee the full cycle of software development.
• Utilize and develop software for real‑time systems used in safe and fault‑tolerant software applications.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design and implement systems for medical devices.
• Implement and optimize software modules for path planning, kinematics, sensor integration, and simulations for testing and development.
• Generate formal design documentation.

• MS or PhD degree in CS, EE, Robotics or a related field.
• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience, including 5+ years of technical management responsibilities.
• Proficiency in programming using C++, C, and Python, and experience with OOP design.
• Proven project management experience on large software projects with hardware components and real‑time systems.
• Experience with user interfaces and user experience in 3D environments.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with software development processes in a regulated medical device environment is a plus.

The base salary range for this full‑time position is between $210,000 to $240,000 + equity + benefits.
