Patient Care Technician

Location:

Telemetry and Med/Surg at Taylor Regional Hospital, Kentucky

Schedule:

Full Time position

• Adheres to hospital policies and standards
• Attends nursing station and performs clerical duties
• Participates in required education, competencies, and training requirements
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and other team members
• Follows HIPAA compliance
• Demonstrates knowledge of emergent situations and responds appropriately
• Adheres to patient safety and monitors patient needs frequently
• Prepares patient records, admissions, discharge, etc.
• Supports a conducive work environment
• Observes cardiac monitors and documents rhythm shifts
• Floats to other nursing departments as needed

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid KY SRNA license
• 1-2+ years of experience
• Strong attentive and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast pace
• Maintain accurate and concise documentation
• Frequent walking, standing, and lifting
• Able to lift over 50lbs

• BLS required through American Heart Association - renewals are included with TRH employment
• Basic Dysrhythmia required upon hire
