Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Worker to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. This role requires a strong understanding of various machining and fabrication techniques, as well as the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Duties
  • Operate CNC laser cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe, and plasma cutting equipment to produce precise sheet metal parts.
  • Program CNC machines using blueprint specifications and mechanical knowledge.
  • Use hand tools, calipers, and other measuring instruments for quality inspection and ensuring dimensional accuracy.
  • Set up and operate press brake machines for bending and forming sheet metal components.
  • Utilize cranes and forklifts for material handling and positioning of heavy or large sheets of metal.
  • Perform welding tasks to join metal parts according to project requirements.
  • Read blueprints and technical drawings to determine dimensions, tolerances, and fabrication procedures.
  • Assist in assembly processes, ensuring components fit correctly and meet quality standards.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on machinery and ensure a safe working setting.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in manufacturing or sheet metal fabrication is preferred.
  • Proficiency with CNC programming, CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe, press brake machines, welding, and machining processes.
  • Mechanical knowledge including the use of hand tools, calipers, and blueprint reading skills.
  • Ability to operate cranes and forklifts safely.
  • Strong understanding of quality inspection procedures to ensure high standards are maintained.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols related to manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
