We are looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic social worker to join the Justice Social Work Team in the Mid Argyll, Kintyre and Islay area of Argyll and Bute, based in Campbeltown. Job Overview

The role involves delivering the full range of statutory justice social work services, including court reports, community sentences, through care statutory responsibilities and management of MAPPA cases. You will also participate in standby or out‑of‑hour service arrangements as appropriate.

Responsibilities
  • Provide court report services as required.
  • Manage community sentence and through care statutory responsibilities.
  • Supervise and manage MAPPA cases.
  • Participate in standby and other out‑of‑hour services.
  • Maintain safeguarding and protection of vulnerable group (PVG) compliance.
Qualifications and Experience
  • BA (Hons) in Social Work or equivalent.
  • Registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
  • Committed to social work values.
  • Experience with Visor access and NPPV at level 2 (or level 1/3 depending on post).

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Adaptability to flexible working arrangements and job share options.
