Licensed Practical Nurse - Casual

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) role is collaborative and interdependent, working under the direction of the Resident Care Manager / Supportive Living Manager and accountable for his/her nursing actions. The LPN applies knowledge, skills, and attitudes to carry out the nursing process and provide competent nursing care within the Licensed Practical Nurses’ Regulations under the Health Professions Act, in accordance with the job description, policies, and procedures of The Bethany Group.

Employees with appropriate training, orientation, and experience may be reassigned (float) to other work areas to meet operational staffing requirements. LPNs may also be assigned to work HCA lines without affecting pay or classification if directed by management.

• Two to three years of geriatric care experience is desirable
• Level C-HCP CPR certification is required
• Medication Administration & Demonstrated Competency Course completed
• Current registration with CLPNA
• Must be in positive physical and emotional health
• Competencies in physical assessment

Mandatory LAPP membership for permanent Part‑time and Full‑time employees working 0.7 FTE or greater (see policy FS 03-04). Hours per shift: 7.75hrs & 12hrs. Current shift pattern:
