Licensed Practical Nurse Orthopedic Surgery
Provide post-operative nursing care y’s Hospital in Camrose, using clinical judgment and critical thinking within a multidisciplinary team.
As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will practice to full scope on Unit 5, a 24-bed Orthopedic and General Surgery Unit. You will support holistic, person-centred care for patients and families while coordinating care activities and contributing to safe health outcomes. Your work includes culturally safe, inclusive practice and collaboration with physicians and health care colleagues. The role also supports learning, staff development, quality improvement, and patient safety within Covenant Health standards.

- Apply nursing knowledge, clinical judgment, and critical thinking
- Coordinate care activities and support effective team functioning
- Provide team leadership within your scope of practice
- Contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
- Graduate of a Practical Nursing program or recognized equivalent
- Active CLHA registration required
- Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider Level C certification
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, assessment, and organizational skills
- Proven problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
