Manufacturing Supervisor at BD (Tissuemed Ltd)

Overview

BD is a leading global medical technology company dedicated to advancing health through innovative solutions. As a Manufacturing Supervisor, you will lead production operations, drive continuous improvement, and ensure the highest standards of safety, quality, and productivity.

Responsibilities
  • Lead production operations on the day shift, reporting directly to the Business Manufacturing Leader.
  • Provide full‑time presence on the production floor, driving safety, quality, and continuous improvement requirements.
  • Drive key metrics: safety, quality, productivity, and customer service, measuring and communicating performance to department leadership.
  • Manage daily operations, supervise associates, and provide coaching and 360‑degree feedback to build a culture of high performance and accountability.
  • Coordinate coverage for vacation, absenteeism, and overtime; support other areas and operations as needed.
  • Maintain accurate SAP & MES transactions, ensuring product quality through timely completion of action plans and resolution of deficiencies.
  • Partner with engineers, quality, and technical services to resolve problems and drive continuous improvement using CI practices (KAS, Blitz).
  • Ensure associates follow all safety, quality, and operation procedures; keep shift‑surrounding areas clean.
  • Perform other duties as needed, including training, tool room support, and project work.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (preferred).
  • 5+ years relevant manufacturing experience (preferred).
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement (preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to coach and mentor employees at all levels.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Working knowledge of SAP and familiarity with FDA regulations, GMP, ISO, OSHA, and other applicable regulations.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to establish a culture of safe, compliant, and high‑quality operations.
