Quality Manufacturing Representative (Night shift) at BD (Tissuemed Ltd).
Job SummaryThe Quality Manufacturing Representative’s primary functions are to assure manufacturing operations meet the quality system requirements, release product to sterilization and shipping after review of documentation, and assist Quality engineers with quality issues. This position will provide training, guidance, and input on quality issues to the manufacturing floor, audit compliance to the quality policy and procedures, and participate in continuous improvement and other plant initiatives as needed in support of business goals.
The incumbent reports directly to a Quality Engineer.
7PM – 7AM
Responsibilities- Performs review of manufacturing documentation
- Releases product to the next stage of manufacturing or shipping
- Follows up on manufacturing issues with appropriate parties
- Performs complete inspection of product according to applicable specifications
- Reports issues to the Quality Engineers and assist as needed with quality related issues
- Documents all inspections as required
- Updates all reports and databases as required for reporting and tracking purposes
- Possesses knowledge of Quality System Regulations
- Ensures manufacturing associates are properly trained using documented inspection techniques
- Performs duties and maintains knowledge to conduct inspections and tasks among all manufacturing/molding departments
- Applies and interprets ANSI Z1.4 and other sampling plans for predicting percent defective and lot acceptance criteria
- Conducts routine product and process audits to assure compliance to the quality system
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment
- Follows all safety policies & procedures
- Adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices
- Performs all other miscellaneous duties as appropriately directed by Quality Management
- HS diploma/GED
- Proficient at reading/writing English
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to give/receive feedback
- Team player able to work well with others
- Plan/organize tasks based on priority and timelines
- Take initiative (see what needs to be done and do it)
- On-the-job training provided; however, must be a rapid learner
