Manufacturing Technical Leader – BD (Tissuemed Ltd)
Join BD to lead production technology and maintenance techniques to achieve low loss and high OEE.
Responsibilities- Investigate and resolve loss (breakdown, waste, speed) using systematic problem‑solving.
- Maintain and coach operators and technicians on daily task maintenance, planned and preventive maintenance.
- Lead maintenance activity on the line in conjunction with the Preventive Maintenance Leader.
- Ensure all preventive maintenance activities are performed effectively, including opportunistic maintenance working with the Preventive Maintenance Leader to plan same.
- Record maintenance details in full on the designated forms/SAP.
- Report and action any abnormalities observed during daily task maintenance/ planned preventive maintenance to reduce losses.
- Engage with operators and technicians to effectively use DTM/PPM to increase OEE and safety performance.
- Provide training and coaching to operators and technicians on DTM/PPM maintenance activities and standards.
- Support all CI projects/validations as required to help improve equipment reliability.
- Other duties as required to support the needs of the business.
- Associate’s Degree – Required.
- BA/BS Degree – Preferred (Industrial or Mechanical Engineering preferred).
- In lieu of BA/BS degree, 10 years of Technical or Manufacturing experience required.
- 2 years medical device manufacturing experience preferred.
- 5 years’ experience with high‑speed automated assembly and packaging equipment required.
- 3 years of people‑leading experience preferred.
- Some PLC experience preferred but not essential.
- Effective oral/written communication – Proficient.
- Team building – Advanced.
- Independent thinking / self‑driven – Proficient.
- Decision making – Proficient.
- Machine design – Proficient.
- Troubleshooting / problem solving – Advanced.
- Safety & ergonomics – Basic.
- Project management – Proficient.
