North Canaan, CT 06018 – 100% on-site - Payrate: $25.30/hr
- Required Availability:
Full-Time (40+ hours/week) | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and accurate movement of product within a distribution center environment. This role supports daily warehouse operations by transporting, staging, and replenishing inventory while maintaining quality and inventory accuracy using scanners and warehouse systems. This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs.

Forklift Operator (Distribution Center) | Responsibilities:- Transport palletized product within the distribution center (unload, put-away, bulk/double-deep storage, full-pallet picking, loading, replenishment)
- Operate material handling equipment (high reach, counterbalance, electric pallet jack, dock stocker)
- Use RF scanner and warehouse systems to track inventory and maintain accuracy
- Maintain product integrity and follow site safety procedures and required PPE guidelines
- Cross-train and provide backup support in other areas as needed
- Education:
High School Diploma or GED (verifiable) (preferred) - Experience:
1+ year of relevant experience (required in lieu of High School Diploma/GED) - Intermediate experience with high reach and/or counterbalance equipment (required)
- Ability to read and interpret distribution documents in English
- Comfortable using RF scanners and basic computer systems
- Warehouse/WMS experience preferred (Manhattan WMS preferred)
