Position: Controller for Project-Based Business
Location: Victoria

Join the team as Controller, delivering financial leadership in Victoria, BC, with a focus on trade operations. This permanent role emphasizes on-site collaboration 3-4 days a week.

In this pivotal position, the Controller will report to the CFO and own full cycle accounting, working closely with the finance team to ensure precise month-end closures and compliance with financial regulations. Candidates should bring over 8 years of progressive experience, with significant expertise in job costing and project accounting, preferably in construction or field services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead month-end close and ensure financial accuracy

• Prepare job costing and project financial reports

• Supervise finance team operations and tasks

• Maintain compliance with tax and statutory requirements

• Foster communication with CFO and operational leads

Requirements:

• 8+ years of accounting experience; 2+ years as Controller

• Background in public accounting preferred

• ERP and Quick Books proficiency required

• Solid Excel skills crucial

• Experience in multi-segment operations an asset
