Join MNP as an Accounting Technician in Peace River, Alberta, where you’ll support diverse financial and tax engagements in a full-time on-site role. Enhance clients’ financial decisions with tailored insight and innovative strategies.

In this pivotal role within the Assurance & Accounting team, you will assist with bookkeeping, audits, and financial reporting, contributing to the success of both clients and the firm. With an entry-level to 2 years' experience in accounting, you will engage in critical accounting processes, including month-end close, and maintain accurate accounts receivable and payable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with audits and bookkeeping engagements

• Prepare and maintain government filings and remittances

• Set up client files and complete administrative planning

• Perform month-end and quarter-end close processes

• Monitor and reconcile various GL accounts

Requirements:

• Accounting certificate or bachelor’s degree in related field

• 0-2 years relevant accounting experience

• Experience preparing T4s and T5s

• Knowledge of accounting principles

• Familiarity with tax software is an asset
