Accounting Technician with MNP in Peace River

Location: Peace River

MNP is seeking a full-time Accounting Technician in Peace River, Alberta, to support assurance and accounting operations. You'll leverage your skills in bookkeeping and tax to help clients navigate financial decision-making with confidence.

In this vital role, you will be part of the Assurance & Accounting team, where your contributions will drive financial clarity and performance. Working collaboratively with clients, you will compile reports, execute government remittances, and assist with audits. Ideal candidates will possess an accounting certificate or a degree and have between 0 to 2 years of experience in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting audit and bookkeeping engagements

• Preparing government remittances and financial filings

• Setting up client files and supporting budgets

• Conducting the month-end and quarter-end close

• Reconciling GL accounts accurately

Requirements:

• Accounting certificate or commerce degree

• 0-2 years of relevant experience in accounting

• Experience with T4s and T5s preferred

• Basic understanding of accounting principles

• Familiarity with relevant software
