Controller with Manufacturing Focus

Location: Downtown Toronto (St. James Park)

Join a manufacturing plant as a Controller, overseeing finance and accounting activities for accurate reporting. Drive operational efficiency and cost performance while leading a skilled finance team.

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing the month-end close and the forecasting process. Your proven ability in standard costing and variance analysis will greatly support plant leadership. Navigate compliance and establish strong internal controls to ensure robust financial oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage accurate month-end and year-end financial reporting

• Lead inventory accounting and variance analysis initiatives

• Collaborate with Operations to optimize performance

• Oversee budgeting and longer-range financial planning

• Support audit readiness and process improvements

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar

• Certified CPA or equivalent qualification

• 7-10+ years in finance/accounting for manufacturing

• Strong background in cost accounting and internal controls

• Proficiency in advanced Excel and ERP/MRP systems
