Position: Hastings County Provincial Offences Clerk
Location: Quinte Shores, East Northumberland County & Prince Edward County (Picton)

The County of Hastings seeks a full-time Temporary Provincial Offences Clerk for their Administration Building. This on-site role involves vital clerical tasks and courtroom duties supporting the Provincial Offences Office.

You will be responsible for clerical support, maintaining court file records, and providing information to clients regarding court procedures.

Your role includes operating the court recording equipment, as well as ensuring all court documentation is updated accurately. This position requires an individual with strong attention to detail and exceptional customer service skills to assist clients effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and balance daily revenue and prepare deposits

• Intake charges through the ICON system and manage ongoing cases

• Update dockets, adjournments, and court files regularly

• Ensure courtroom protocol is maintained during proceedings

• Review documents and provide statutory signing authority

Requirements:

• Diploma in Court Support Services or similar

• Minimum two years of court environment experience

• Extensive knowledge of court procedures and legislation

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
