About the Role
Sheshegwaning First Nation is seeking an Ontario Works Administrator who is responsible for providing all financial and administrative functions to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations in accordance with the Ontario Works Directives and current legislation.
What You’ll Do
Conduct client interviews to process applications and monitor ongoing client eligibility for Ontario Works (OW)
Day to day administration of the OW program, ensuring clients needs are met within the framework of policy and legislation
Submission of monthly and quarterly reporting requirements ensuring applicability of legislation and accuracy of content to ISC & MCSS
Monitor and verify the monthly client reporting requirements and ensure adherence to applicable policies and legislation, as well as ensure accuracy of content
Professional Development – attend ONWAA training assemblies, maintain a good working relationship with organization, regularly complete required training to fulfill duties of Ontario Works Administrator
What You Bring
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a member of a team
Ability to be consistent and display a positive/helpful attitude
Must have a Secondary School Diploma and a valid “G” drivers licence
Ability to deal effectively with difficult clients and conflicting situations
Ability to use good judgement in assessing difficult situations maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
