As a Health Records Assistant, you will work under the Health Records Supervisor to manage health records in compliance with various guidelines and procedures. Your responsibilities will include transcribing medical reports, coding clinical data, and handling financial tasks related to patient billing. This role requires effective communication with healthcare professionals and the public.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and assemble comprehensive health record charts

• Perform coding and abstracting of clinical data

• Handle requests for information in line with legislation

• Transcribe and distribute medical reports efficiently

• Execute clerical tasks including data entry and reception

Requirements:

• Diploma in Health Information Management is essential

• Certification from Canadian College of Health Records Administrators

• Registration with Canadian Health Information Management Association

• Experience of less than 6 months is acceptable

• Proficiency in data analysis and office tasks required
