To succeed, candidates must possess a Medical Office Administration diploma or equivalent experience, including at least one year in a ward clerk role. This position emphasizes communication, administrative tasks, and effective support for clinical operations in a busy environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute all clerical duties essential for Acute Care unit functionality

• Manage incoming communication, redirect appropriately

• Assist visitors and manage inquiries with the charge nurse

• Complete necessary documentation and activity reports daily

• Organize patient charts and related medical paperwork

Requirements:

• Completion of a Medical Office Administration diploma

• Minimum one year of ward clerk experience within five years

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic health records

• Excellent organizational skills and problem-solving ability

• Uphold confidentiality and respect within a diverse population
