Location: BelleduneVenor is proud to partner with Interfor in their search for a Regional PLC & Process Controls Superintendent to support their Bathurst and Belledune sawmill operations in New Brunswick.

The Opportunity
As the Regional PLC & Process Controls Superintendent, you will play a key role in optimizing operations at both New Brunswick mills by leading the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of automation and control systems. This position reports to the Regional Manager of New Brunswick Operations with regular travel between the two sites.
Key Responsibilities
Lead automation and control system initiatives using platforms including Control Logic PLC, Legacy PLC5, and Allen-Bradley HMI programming suites.Improve programming, instrumentation, and support industrial IT/OT projects through code development and hardware specifications.Troubleshoot and optimize lumber-specific automated processes such as safety systems, debarkers, drying, and dressing.Provide training and mentorship to mill staff, including electricians, to build internal capability with automation systems.Support standardization efforts, document systems and procedures, and contribute to training manuals.Supervise and guide on Controls Specialist while supporting broader project delivery and site goals.What you bring
A diploma/degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Electronic Technology, or a Red Seal Industrial Electrician certification.At least three years of experience in PLC programming and troubleshooting in a manufacturing setting.A collaborative approach and passion for driving operational excellence through continuous improvement.Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and lead with initiative and sound judgment.Deep understanding of automation hardware and software, including VFDs, servo motors, and HMIs.Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, control, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.Being bilingual in French and English is an asset.Why work with Interfor?
