Assistant Superintendent in Marine Operations

Location: Central Island (Chemainus)

Become an Assistant Superintendent to enhance marine logistics operations. Focus on labor management, payroll coordination, equipment supervision, and drive safety compliance initiatives on North Island.

In this role, you will support all aspects of daily operations, including managing labor dispatch and ensuring accuracy in payroll processing. Collaborating closely with various teams will be key to maintaining efficiency and adhering to safety standards. Effective communication and organizational skills are essential to oversee multiple responsibilities and achieve operational success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily labor dispatch and allocations

• Oversee accurate payroll and timekeeping entries

• Lead health and safety compliance initiatives

• Supervise all gear locker and vessel operations

• Address administrative tasks as required

Requirements:

• High school diploma; relevant education is a plus

• Experience in a unionized setting preferred

• Understanding of safety regulations and agreements

• Technical proficiency in Office 365 and related tools

• Excellent communication and organizational skills
