Take the lead as the Manager for Major Capital Projects with School District No. 62 (Sooke). This full-time, temporary role focuses on managing significant construction projects through collaboration and strategic planning.

In this pivotal position, you will report directly to the Director of Facilities and manage all aspects of construction contracts. Successful candidates will have a minimum of five years in project management and a deep understanding of building systems and compliance.

Your role will also include crucial budget management, effective scheduling, and scope definition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the delivery of major capital construction projects

• Develop and oversee project budgets and timelines

• Collaborate effectively with municipal and district staff

• Ensure adherence to building codes and regulations

• Conduct financial analyses and develop business cases

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering or Architecture or PMP certification

• Five years of progressive project management experience

• Expertise in construction principles and methodologies

• Valid BC Driver’s Licence

• Strong leadership and communication skills
