Mission
Terus Construction, a division of Colas Western Canada Inc., is looking for a Junior Tester to join our team in Prince Rupert, BC.

Main Responsibilities

Conduct sieve testing during aggregate production.

Conduct sampling, marshal testing and oil extraction by ignition oven tests during asphalt production and placement.

Ensure accuracy of all testing performed.

Display good communication with supervisor, crushing sub-contractors and asphalt plant and paving foremen.

Ensure compliance with the Company’s procedures with sampling, testing and reporting of test results for materials being constructed.

Ensure maintenance, reports of incidents, and reports of improper working condition of all equipment associated with lab testing activities.

At all times, conduct business under his/her responsibility with professionalism and respect.

Ensures that testing activities and operations are performed in compliance with health & Safety regulations.

Requirements/Skills

Good communication skills (oral & written) and team player

Accuracy in reporting

Strong mathematical skills

Excellent time management skills

Computer Literate

Driver’s License

Good understanding of ATSM standards and procedures

Compensation Data
The anticipated hourly wage for this position is $27-32 CAD per hour. The final compensation package will be determined based on factors including the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
