Position: Valard Construction Equipment Operator Role
Location: Sherwood Park West

Valard Construction seeks a qualified Equipment Operator based in Sherwood Park, Alberta. Focused on residential utility construction, you will primarily use a trackhoe and backhoe to perform duties effectively.

Reporting to the Manager, Subdivisions, your role is crucial for new shallow underground construction projects around Edmonton. Ideal candidates will possess a strong understanding of soil mechanics and ground disturbance procedures. Your daily involvement in safety meetings and inspection protocols will enhance team safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate trackhoe and backhoe equipment

• Complete daily inspections of machinery

• Work with engineers on soil density testing

• Assist crew members in equipment-free tasks

• Engage in safety and work planning meetings

Requirements:

• 3+ years operating heavy machinery

• Ground Disturbance Level 2 certification required

• Valid Class-5 driver's license with good abstract

• Capable of lifting 50 lbs efficiently

• Availability for varied hours
