Position: Freelance Quantity Surveyor for Highways

Elevate your career as a Freelance Quantity Surveyor on a major highways project in Devon. This contract role starts ASAP, emphasizing robust cost forecasting and subcontractor management.

We are seeking an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to contribute to a significant road project. This full-time contract job extends until Christmas 2026 and is site-based, requiring candidates to be within commuting distance. Key skills include maintaining subcontractor forecasts, supporting Compensation Events, and strong knowledge of NEC4 ECC.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain detailed subcontractor account forecasts

• Produce robust cost forecasts across all cost types

• Support administration of subcontractor Compensation Events

• Assess subcontractor entitlements using Defined Cost

• Interpret construction-phase programmes for cost forecasting

Requirements:

• Extensive Senior Quantity Surveying experience

• Strong knowledge of NEC4 ECC, especially Main Options B and C

• Experience managing subcontractor accounts

• Detailed understanding of Defined Cost

• Strong analytical and communication skills
