Senior Quantity Surveyor - Highways Project

Join a dynamic highways project in Devon as a Senior Quantity Surveyor. This freelance position offers an ASAP start and lasts until Christmas 2026, focusing on commercial forecasting.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support our commercial team on a major road project. This full-time contract position is ideally site-based, requiring local candidates. Your primary responsibilities will involve maintaining subcontractor forecasts, managing costs, and interpreting construction programmes effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage subcontractor account forecasts diligently

• Create detailed cost forecasts across multiple cost categories

• Assist with the administration of Compensation Events

• Assess entitlements using an understanding of Defined Cost

• Collaborate with project teams on commercial reporting

Requirements:

• Proven experience in Senior Quantity Surveying

• Knowledge of NEC4 ECC and MMHW

• Strong skills in managing subcontractor accounts

• Confidence in interpreting construction programmes

• Excellent commercial and communication skills
