We are currently seeking hardworking and dependable Heavy Equipment Operators to join our team in the Dubreuilville, Ontario area. The initial assignment will support our winter road and site maintenance contract, with work anticipated from September 2026 through April 2027. In this role, you will operate heavy equipment to maintain safe and accessible roads, parking areas, and work sites throughout the winter season.

Opportunities for continued employment beyond the winter maintenance contract may be available based on individual performance, operational requirements, and the availability of suitable work.

• Safely operate heavy equipment including excavators, graders, backhoes, loaders and related machinery, as assigned and qualified
• Clear snow and ice from access roads, driveways, parking lots, work sites, and other areas using appropriate heavy equipment
• Perform general labourer duties such as clearing snow from high traffic and critical infrastructure areas including entrances, access roads, emergency exits, and equipment pads when required
• Spread salt, sand, and other de-icing materials using appropriate equipment
• Perform daily pre-op and post-op inspections on equipment and attend daily safety meetings
• Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks
• Accurately complete daily logs, timesheets, and work orders as required
• Perform physically demanding work including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, crouching, climbing, crawling, repetitive reaching, and extended periods of standing throughout the workday
• Maintain a clean and tidy work environment and equipment
• Work in various weather conditions including inclement weather conditions
• Work schedule consists of 7 days on and 7 days off. Day shifts and night shifts as required
• Work in accordance with all internal, client and regulated health and safety policies, procedures and/or regulations, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Perform other related duties as assigned

• Prior experience operating heavy equipment in the construction industry or snow removal / maintenance industry
• Valid G class Driver’s License
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork

• Surface Miner Common Core
• Secondary School diploma or equivalent

• Successfully satisfy comprehensive pre-employment third party testing requirements (Drug and Alcohol testing and Criminal Background Check (CPIC) and any other requirements that are imposed on contractors)
• Ability to perform physically intensive and strenuous tasks
• Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
• Strong communication skills with supervisors, coworkers, and clients
• Ability to adapt to changing job requirements and schedules
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Professional attitude and strong work ethic

This position is governed by a collective agreement. The pay range posted reflects base compensation under the applicable agreement. Placement within the range is based on experience, qualifications, and union provisions. Benefits and other incentives are offered separately.
