Unleash your energy within! Be a part of the EDC Team!1. Enforce and ensure that all government and company safety regulations and guidelines are being followed properly,2. Identifies workplace hazards and proposes actions to prevent accident or mitigate the effects of identified risks;
3. Review contractor’s methodologies to ensure the same is in accordance to EDC’s safety requirements.
4. Conduct comprehensive inspections and investigations, write orders and reports.
5. Check the appropriateness of protective equipment and ensure employees and workers all have everything they need to work safely. Observe crews at work and reports laxity in safety precautions, such as failure to use goggles, rubber gloves, and other safety devices.
6. Inspects equipment, tools, and working conditions to ensure safety of workers engaged in construction. Inspects safety belts, ladders, ropes, rubber goods, and tools and require replacement of those not meeting safety requirements.
7. Inspect availability and operability of safety tools and equipment of the contractor.
8. Coordinate with the contractor to ensure good housekeeping and high standards of safety in the workplace at all times;
9. Promotes adherence to and supports all company safety, security and environmental rules, policies and procedures with a zero-tolerance mentality;10. Provides technical safety support for construction activities and ensure that all work is performed with methodology conforming to safety standards, approved manuals, internal policies and procedures.
11. Attend and participate in contractors tool box and sub-committee meetings.
12. Drive EDCs Good Catch program.
13. Works with HSE Manager to make immediate investigations of accidents/ incidents and report findings and recommendations to the Site Manager.
14. Performs other duties and safety related functions as necessary to ensure an accident-free workplace.
