Position: Visual Arts Instructor for Recreation Programs
Location: Ontario Centre (Queensville)

Make a difference in Newmarket by leading visual arts programs as an Instructor. Engage with participants of all ages while developing creative skills and ensuring program quality.

As part of the Town of Newmarket’s Recreation and Culture Team, you’ll be responsible for designing and delivering art programs for children, youth, and adults.

Your role includes managing class time effectively, taking attendance, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. Collaborate with fellow team members to enhance participant experiences while promoting creativity and artistic expression.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead art programs for diverse age groups

• Take accurate attendance and manage documentation

• Develop detailed program plans including necessary supplies

• Communicate effectively with participants and colleagues

• Complete health and safety paperwork as needed

Requirements:

• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

• 1–5 years of arts program design experience

• Current Standard First Aid and CPR-C certifications

• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends

• Police Vulnerable Sector Check required
