Position OverviewCanada Post is seeking an on-call Post Office Assistant to provide counter services to customers in the community of Chute‑aux‑Outardes, Quebec. The role involves selling postal products, handling mail distribution, and resolving customer service issues.

11 – Level 1 - Working Hours:
On Call - Number of Vacancies: 2
- Salary: $20.54 / hour
- Sell postal products and services to the business community and public
- Sort, distribute, and process mail into appropriate classifications
- Provide customers with information and forms
- Address delivery and service difficulties to resolve problems thoroughly and quickly
- Record transactions accurately and handle cash handling duties
- Assist with general customer service and store operations as needed
- High school diploma or provincial equivalency and/or experience in business administration
- Training or experience interacting with the public in a retail or service environment, including sales and cash transactions
- Understanding of general or post office accounting systems
- Physically fit to lift mail containers of up to 50 lb, push or pull boxes, sort mail, and stand for extended periods
- Flexibility to be available for temporary, on‑call work
- A character reference letter is required.
- Applicants must reside in the community or within a 50‑km radius of the Post Office.
- Selected candidates will be required to complete a security screening process.
This position may be considered a Safety Sensitive position.
